So last week I posted this thread, with all the issues I described in there (I'm not gonna retype it, on mobile).
So, thinking it was the GPU, I went and bought another 1070 ti. It arrived today, and I put it in my pc. Everything was working fine, until I loaded into a 3d application, where the same issue happened.
I rebooted and quickly enabled safe mode, as I knew it would reboot again like last time. In safe mode both GPUs work fine, including 3d applications although with no drivers they aren't being pushed very hard.
I used ddu to uninstall the drivers, and reinstalled thinking that would work, but still no luck. Rebooting into normal windows still results in max fan speed and a black screen.
Anyone have any ideas?
