Hello,

I built a PC two months ago. I replaced the GPU and PSU few days ago and now I get random black screen for few seconds, everything is working as normal, no restart just the screen goes black briefly, then everything is back to working normally. Every cable is installed perfectly, i checked it many times, there is no noise and it happens in idle or gaming or when i was in fan control in BIOS.

It happens randomly, sometimes twice in one hour sometimes once a day. I changed the DisplayPort cable, different ports on gpu or monitor, nothing helped. I used DDU in safe mode to reinstall drivers after GPU swap, reinstalled it a few times after, did not help. Event log showed nothing, HWinfo software showed nothing, everything seems to be working okay.

My specs are:
ASUS PRIME B760M-A WIFI D4
Intel Core i5-13400F
Corsair 32GB KIT DDR4 3200 MHz CL16 Vengeance LPX
SSD disk Samsung 980 PRO 1TB
PSU SEASONIC GX 750W
LCD monitor 34" ASUS TUF VG34VQL1B
GPU MSI Ventus X2 RTX 4070 Super

please help, thank you.

usually this type of issue would either be damaged ports, low quality cables, or driver issues.

with the issue continuing through multiple ports, cables, etc i would think the only possibility is a bad GPU.
maybe not malfunctioning graphical processor or memory, but only a bad connection to it's PCIe plate / output ports.

i would first try a different known working GPU and see if the intermittent black screen continues.

Hello, thank you for your reply, today i tried to remove audio cable from monitor and did not have black screen so far, do you think that audio port can cause ocasional lost connection from Display port next to it?

do you think that audio port can cause ocasional lost connection from Display port next to it?
it's always possible.
maybe that section of the display's housing is off-center just a tiny little bit or something similar.

keep trying it that way for a few days and if the issue is gone then you're probably good now with the black screens.

do you need to continue using that audio port or could you easily just use another?
