Hey Guys,

I've done some reshuffling and upgrades on my drives, after which my nvme drive is no longer detectable.

My motherboard: B450M Mortar Titanium which support 2 x M.2 drives and 4 x SATA drives.

Prior drive setup (all drives working):
  • Crucial P1 1TB on M2_1 slot
  • Samsung 860 QVO 1TB on SATA
  • Seagate Ironwolf 4TB on SATA
Current drive setup:
  • Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB on M2_1 slot (PCIe 3)
  • Crucial P1 1TB on M2_2 slot (PCIe 2) [Not Detected]
  • Samsung 870 Evo 2TB on SATA
  • Samsung 860 QVO 1TB on SATA
I can't find the Crucial drive on Windows, and when going into the BIOS, I see that the M2_2 slot is showing up as "not present". The drive was definitely working before I swapped stuff around, so it's not an issue with the drive.

Anyone familiar with this board? Do I need to do something within the BIOS?

To add, I've only used the PCI_E1 slot (GPU) and have none on the others.

What happens if you switch m.2 drive's positions, does it work both then? or only one again? then there must be some setting not turned correct in the bios or a fault with your motherboard, maybe a bios update is required.
