Secret AMD fan switching?

Okay so I love AMD, I've owned almost only AMD GPU's and well I am typing this a on 8350 machine. I also own a 2500K, but uhh I was thinking about getting a AMD 7870, but I looked at the EVGA 660's and I LOVE the coolers, and they would looking F***ing sick in my machine, and I show off my red LED lit case, because I got black internals specifically and beautiful RED LED's to give a awesome ambiance. And well my favorite the AMD Sapphire wouldn't look as badass as a 660 even if it is a bit faster, I mean really it's not a huge difference, so I mean either was I should be maxing out my graphics, 16GB of G.Skill ram at 1866 and 4.6GHz FX-8350, 128GB SSD, I should be fine either way right? So maybe it's time to take a switch eh? I love the idea and feeling of doing something new anyways, I don't like to be biased, I like to be open minded, and I think an Nvidia EVGA 660 in SLI would look badass, what is your thoughts?
(Also when I answer a question on these forums I do not make biased answers, don't worry, I use experience, and I've had great from AMD and Intel, and bad from AMD and Intel.)

I might just get the 660 for the apparent better SLI and better 3D (About to order my Asus 23" 3D Monitor

Yea for 3D I would go with a Nvidia card its delivered a bit better. If you can get the 660Ti over the 660. Also, I'm having a hard time understanding what are you trying to max out are you trying to max out your Intel machine or your AMD machine.

if you are in a fix between the gtx660 and the hd7870....i would say its better to go for the hd7870,it is a bit better performer than the gtx660 and also oc s better.
but if you go for the gtx660ti...no doubt it is much better than the both

both sli and crossfire looks great always.

i wont be able to comment on the 3d or multi monitor part since you have not mentioned any thing about that.

i think you already know that better.

I am wanting to be able to maximize my graphics settings in games on 1920x1080, and run well on 3D too, although not all games I play do 3D a lot do. COD, used to play WoW, any Crysis, World of Tanks, Assassins Creed etc etc. Also how big is the performance margin between the GTX660 and the GTX660Ti? And I am not shy to overclock any card, not enthusiast overclocking with extreme voltages and clock speeds, I mean I'd like to be able to keep stock clocks, but I will OC without a problem provided it is beneficial to my area of GPU use.

Well I'll put it up for comparison reasons. The non Ti 660 is often now compared with the 7870 and the 660Ti is compared to the 7950. So, yes there is a difference and I feel the performance increase is worth it. You get more CUDA cores with the 660Ti essentially its a more mature card. I would say if you go with a 3D setup that you would best bet going for the best card that you can afford to buy. If its the 660Ti great if its the 670 awesome.

Keep in mind that the main reason NVIDIA does such a good job with 3D is 3D Vision you need a 120hz monitor for that. So with that monitor you won't have it. Also if you intend on going with 3D Vision then I'd suggest you get a monitor with lightboost which can be fouding within 3D Vision 2. This as an example of what you would need to get the full benifit from using a Nvidia card for 3D.
