Selecting a gpu for my motherboard

hey guys a want a big help here, i'm using a nvedia 8400gs rit now. bt its not good in gaming, so i'm hoping to buy a new gpu, bt i dont understand to buy it as i'm not good in hardware nor I.T, plz help me out here to select a suitable and a good game playable gpu which can support my motherboard and processor. (hoping to play games such as COD B.O,crysis 2)
my specs-- intel E5700 Duel core 3Ghz
3GB of Ram DDR2
Nvedia 8400gs
160GB SATA
Biostar g41-m7 DDR2
450W PSU
FBS 1333Mhz

Here is a HD 5830 for $99. It should be like night and day compared to your 8400gs. What is your budget and PSU specifics (brand/model).
