Hello,
I have followed other recommendations re: my c drive; etc. I am still not able to download serscan.sys. Please help!!

Could you be a bit more descriptive of the problem you're facing?
I was able to find the file in the following location inside "driver.cab"

"C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386"

You need to extract the Serscan.sys from "driver.cab" file.
The other option is to find the same file from the Windows XP installation CD in the folder x:\i386\ directory.
...where x is your CD-ROM Drive.
