I haven't seen such an uprising in a long time...Especially over a bench on a machine that was rigged together. I imagine the conroe will have better results in the future then what it's showing now. That said i'd like to see a few more people from parties that don't have a $ interest in Intel or AMD run some benches in their own facilities. So we'll just have to wait on that for the Truth...

But this IS good for the industry...Innovation; there are going to be so many people pumped up by this article (i'm calling it singular since the 3 out there now say exactly the same thing), that they're going to go out and buy the first new products from AMD/Intel which is really what this was about. It doesn't matter that Intel's 'marks showed higher scores, or really, it IS because of that. Because this is such a contraversal topic (amongst us geeks anyway...) and because Intel showed it (and don't think Intel didn't know what they were doing...), they knew this would spark a major reaction. Some people are going to jump right back on the Intel bandwagon, which is fine, it's probably going to be a very good chip. There are going to be a lot of people staying with AMD and their new ddr2 chips. Either way, it's convincing people to get in to the Chip War, to go out and Buy as only our nearly maxed out credit cards can. Geeks are going to spread the word...I can see it now..."....you such and such!!!...AMD troll!!!!...Intelzilla troll!!!!". Oh wait, that's already happened.
