Shared folder (Authentication box)

Hello, forum!

For school I have an assignment to create shared folders inside a P2P network.

I should give the users NTFS/Share-permissions and whenever they access the folders they should fill in their username/password.

But I can't find out how to get that to work.

I shared the folders, fixed permissions per user but they are able to access the folders without having to fill in their credentials again.

- Windows XP Pro SP2 is used. We're not allowed to use Windows Server.

I know bumping is not a good thing to do but I would really like to hear from the more tech-savvy people than me
