Hey guys! TLDR is I am shopping for a new monitor, I have about $400-500 to spend with a little wiggle room. I have a I-7700k/1080 and do a lot of heavy gaming (a LOT of very dark gaming like night raids in Escape From Tarkov). I've been gaming on (don't laugh) a Vizio M50 52" 4k TV for the last couple of years and my backlight is starting to go. For context, I've been at 1080p/60hz on that monstrous screen and really want the best upgrade for gaming I can get. I do a lot of competitive gaming but also love high graphics in single player games. So 1440p isn't absolutely necessary, but I feel it will greatly improve my experience on the prettier games. (any opinions on this?) I'm thinking a 27" screen is perfect and it needs to be mountable to the wall since I don't game at a desk. My goal is 1440p/144hz. I don't know a lot about monitors but I hear IPS panel is better than TN if I can get a high enough refresh rate.

IPS Panel Choice (144hz)

TN Panel Choice (240hz)

I can spend a bit more now (up to about $500) and REALLY want the best choice I can make.
-144hz+
-1440p (preferred, but not needed)
-TN or IPS Panel?
-I assume High Contrast Ratio or some kind of proprietary shadow/darkness booster (that works) will suit my needs best.

That one definitely looks good. I see a lot of people complaining about backlight bleed with it. Is that a problem with all IPS screens? From what I understand, it's a bit of a lottery and it's worth RMAing if the bleed is prominent?

Some are worse than others I suppose.

As long as it's a quality monitor it shouldn't be too bad.

I have an IPS Monitor and I can't notice it at all unless I turn off all the lights in a completely dark room and switch it to a black screen. And even then it's barely noticeable.
