Should I add more RAM?

Hi, I have a PC with the following configuration

System Model: D946GZIS
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 2038MB RAM
Page File: 1305MB used, 2768MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
I am using Windows 7 , 32 bit
Now my question is would adding 2GB or 1GB RAM speed up this system
I have an empty RAM slot on my motherboard .
I will be updating to window 10 shortly.

Yes it probably would speed up the overall usability. More RAM means less time swapping to disk. That means faster performance.

Just remember that your limited to 4gb max due to your OS being 32-bit.

Yes, 4 GB should be a minimum for Windows 10. I've run it with 2, but it's not entirely pleasant.

You need at least 4GB of RAM for optimal experience, average these days is 8GB, I think.
More RAM means less Page File, Page File is virtual RAM on your HDD, which is a lot slower than actual RAM.
All in all, Yes, it will speed up your system.
