[SOLVED] Should I be worried about screen tearing?

Hello guys. I recently ordered a GTX 1080 TI and I have a FreeSync Samsung monitor. Am I gonna have issues if there's a discrepancy between the technology of the monitor and the capabilities of the GPU? Is there anything NVIDIA provides to act as a subsitute for FreeSync when using my monitor? If so, please provide some details or send me a link/article etc. Thanks very much!

According to Samsung website that monitor is G Sync compatible - https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/odyssey-gaming-monitors/
According to this its compatible - https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/odyssey-g5

my monitor only has Freesync but Gsync is enabled in the Nvidia Control panel once i use a refresh rate of 144
