[SOLVED] Should i buy an AMD Ryzen 5 3400g?

Hi guys, i am planning to build a budget gaming pc. i was thinking about initially buying these components;
Ryzen 5 3400g
hyperX 16gb ddr4 3200mhz
MSI b450 pro-vdh max
antec silver + 550w
lenovo m2 256gb and sata Hdd 1 tb.
and after that saving some money to buy gtx1060 or rx580. i am not a pro gamer but i would like to do some gaming like pubg and black ops etc. i will be running softwares like ArcGis, Photoshop, GMS, Matlab etc. My question is, Should i buy Ryzen 5 3400g with all these specs and go for the Gtx 1060 in another run or should i wait for a year to save up some money and buy Ryzen standalone cpu or intel 7th or 8th gen cpu together with some 1050ti or something like that? which one is a better option?

3400g works fine for very small space limited builds, but If you have space going for ryzen 1600 (af) or 2600 AND old used gpu like 960/950 or AMD 4XX series would give you more power in the end.
IF you dont want to dive into used parts, that combo will work just fine.
IF you have some time ryzen 2600 ends up with +50% cpu power, sacrificing GPU.

currently i have round about 400 dollars and i am currently in china, but i will be able to save up 200 in upto 3 or 4 months.

Just remember with a 2600 you have to have a GPU since there will be no integrated graphics.

However alot of used cheap GPUs such as the GTX 960, GTX 970, RX480 etc which are all substantially more powerful then the 3400G integrated graphics can be found quite easily. Even newer cards like the RX570 and RX580 are quite cheap on the used market (at least here in the US)

The 2600 is an excellent choice given it's on-sale pricing levels these days of $80-$95...

there is a deal available here for Ryzen 5 3500x together with msi b450 pro-vdh. Should i go with that?

Just remember 3500x has no hyperthreading. If you can find a good deal on a 3600, I can say those are good.

3500x is a great cpu. for most games as good as 3600, but IF you do a lot of things in parallel, have multiple screens with stuff going on, 3600 will be a better choice.
if you run 1 screen take 3500x its fine for next 2 years easly...

Don't get my wrong, not saying the 3500x is a bad CPU. In the USA though, if I'm looking at eBay for example, the 3500x right now is over $200. At that price point you can purchase a ryzen 3600 for about $180 or a $3600x for not much more. Plus the 3500x has no hyperthreading.

As games evolve, they are going to want more cores/threads. So I don't see the value of the 3500x at current pricing.
