[SOLVED] Should I download the drivers for the b450 tomahawk from online or use the cd that came with the board?

Hello everyone. Recently I built a new pc using r5 2600 and a b450 tomahawk. The mobo had a cd and I used it to install all the necessary drivers (as well as many msi programs). Do I need to download them from msi's website as well or is this not required? Sorry for the stupid question, I'm just curious. Thanks in advance.

Generally, the ones online at the manufacturers website are a newer version than what is on the CD.

Alright thanks. I want to ask something else. Do I need to download the latest bios version or not? Because my bios' version is not the newest one. I'm not experiencing any stability issues but I'm just curious. Thanks in advance.

The cd that came with the mobo installed the necessary drivers and some msi programs, one of them being live update. Today I opened out of curiosity and it says that there are new chipset drivers. I know some things are in Greek, but I think you can understand which ones I should install. I have a gtx 1070, I don't want any amd graphics drivers please. Thanks in advance.

The CD will usually only come with the drivers that was released with that MB, and are often out of date.
If you want to update drivers, go to the motherboard manufacturers page instead and download the relevant drivers directly from there: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-TOMAHAWK#down-driver (assuming none MAX model).

For GPU drivers you can use Geforce Experience or download directly from the NVIDIA website too.

BIOS, not necessarily.
Updating the BIOS is not to be done lightly. Its gotten a lot easier lately, but the possibility of bricking the system still exists.

The chipset drivers from msi's website are the same version as in live update program. How do I install those from the website? I downloaded them but I have no clue how to install them. As for nvidia drivers, I have already installed those.

Once you have downloaded the zip file, just extract it and run the main exe file in it. Usually called AMD.exe or Setup.exe for example, I've put a picture of the chipset driver folder below with the one to execute:

Apparently I downloaded the latest chipset drivers using live update program. If I go there it says that all my drivers are up to date. How can I check if that's true? How can I check the chipset drivers version?

If you just installed some drivers, and now your software says latest are installed, you're probably fine don't worry.
But if you want to make sure:
Start > Device Manager > System Devices > right click on whichever your Chipset item is (AMD Chipset...) > Properties > Driver.

Version and install date will be there.
