Should I overclock my i52500k with a 4 pin cpu cable?

I just put together a new gaming system. I'm using a 500w Rock PSU and an Intel i52500k on a MSI Z68A-GD55 motherboard which has an 8 pin CPU power slot. The PSU only has a 4pin CPU power cable....

I am wondering if I should overclock or get a new PSU first?
I read somewhere that you need all 8 pins for overclocking because it is power intense.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Oh and btw, the shitty PSU wasn't a piece of hardware I bought for the new system, it is just the last remaining remnants of the old system.

Yes first get a new PSU. You CPU needs the extra power and if you are going to OC it needs even more power. I would suggest to wait for the new PSU with 8 pins before trying to OC.
