So I recently swapped out my old i5-7500 for a Ryzen 5 3600x and a new motherboard to match. I know windows 10 is good for recognizing new parts which mine did on first boot, it seems to be working just fine with all the drivers installed. My question is since I've had different parts before will those old drivers still be lingering around and or be causing my new stuff to not preform to its max capability? I have a lot of stuff I'd rather not have to reinstall so thats the only thing stopping me.

I always do a clean install with a new motherboard.
That way I don't have anything extra milling around on my drive.
So I would say that's the best way to do it.
...but if it's working fine for you...and it's a pain to do the clean install...I might leave it be.
I don't think the old drivers will affect anything....as long as you are using the proper drivers for your hardware now.
