I recently purchased a GPU for my first gaming pc, the GPU I bought was the Gigabyte RTX 2060 Gaming OC Pro and I realised that the backplate was plastic. Should I remove it? because I have heard that even metal backplate can increase heat. I have the Cooler Master H500 and a Gigabyte Aorus B450 (No reinforced PCI-E). The only thing I am worried about is that my card is long so if I remove the backplate it might sag. Thanks

Solution
"Should I remove the plastic back plate on my GPU" No.

You should not remove the back plate because of "something you heard".

Follow the installation specifications, operational specifications, and if there is a definitive problem then address that problem.
