@Aeacus, With the newer Nvidia driver does it allow any kind of adaptive sync with that new monitor & 1060?
Under the "Nvidia Control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Global Settings -> Vertical sync", i have the default "Use the 3D application setting" option selected. Other options are: Off, On, Adaptive, Adaptive (half refresh rate), Fast.

Since i got my monitor yesterday, i haven't tested it in games. Took me some time to get it running 144 Hz instead of stock 60 Hz.
When i have time, i can test it out but don't expect me to tell a difference since almost all my life, i've used 60 Hz TN panel monitor. 😁

So, i made several runs in Unigine Heaven benchmark with different settings and i tell right away that i couldn't see any screen tearing. It could be that my eye isn't trained to see screen tearing since i don't play fast-paced games almost at all. Or it's because Unigine Heaven, which is slow-paced benchmark. Faster-paced benchmark (e.g in GTA V) might show the screen tearing better but i don't have that game.

For Unigine Heaven, i used lowest settings @ 1080p fullscreen to get FPS high enough for testing.

Vertical sync settings used:
Off - no FPS cap and FPS averaged 220 with peak about 360. A lot of stuttering.
Fast - FPS averaged around 200 with peak about 240. Some stuttering.
On - FPS capped to 144 max. Slight stuttering.
Adaptive - FPS capped to 144 max. Very little stuttering.
Adaptive (half rate) - FPS capped to 72 max. No stuttering.

So, to answer your question: Yes, newer Nvidia drivers do allow the usage of Adaptive Vsync with my 144 Hz MSI monitor and GTX 1060.

Here's also image of Nvidia control panel which describes each Vertical sync setting,

Ooh, I like that RGB mousepad. I may have to buy one to complete my setup. I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Kraken X62 this week. I'll be buying my new GPU shortly.
Since i have Corsair KB, mouse and headset, all capable for RGB; i also bought RGB capable Corsair mouse pad and headset stand to complete the eyecandy setup. :sol:

My mouse pad is MM800 RGB Polaris,
specs: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Gaming-Mousepads/RGB-&-Multifunction-Mousepads/MM800-RGB-POLARIS-Gaming-Mouse-Pad/p/CH-9440020-NA

And there's also a cloth version of MM800 RGB Polaris,
specs: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Gaming-Mousepads/RGB-&-Multifunction-Mousepads/MM800-RGB-POLARIS-Gaming-Mouse-Pad-—-Cloth-Edition/p/CH-9440021-NA

Yeah I may have to buy one of those at some point. I really want to get some of the new Dominator Platinum too once I get my X62 up and running.

Far Cry 5 integrates with the Corsair iCue software and turns my keyboard, mouse and mousepad into a waving American flag among other cool effects. Pretty neat. First game I've played that can talk to all my Corsair stuff.

Diablo 3 does this as well. Turns the keyboard red and skills turn orange when they are useable again. Legendary drops make the whole keyboard pulse a orange wave and Set legendary do the same but green instead (I only have a K95)

There's no bloatware on Prime phones anymore. You can uninstall any of the Prime specific stuff that does come on it. But since I use Amazon all the time and have had Prime for almost 10 years I'm fine with what's there. :)

Quad DAC = Good.

Right on then. I mean if you're gonna buy new and want specifically Verizon model then I'd say the price is good compared to buying a regular V30 for Verizon.

But for me I am lucky I live in southern California where the used market for tech is bountiful and affordable lol.

It's funny I thought about going the Chromax route but I figured by the time I paid for all the Chromax parts I could easily get a Kraken X62.

My other rigs are still air cooled though!

Yeah, the Chromax stuff adds up. Pretty sure just for my NH-D15 + replacement fans and the heatsink covers, it's now a ~$170 CAD cooler. That's H115i Pro, Kraken X62, H100i RGB or Captain360EX money.

I didn't use the other one, the fans I bought came in a package that included two fans and a controller.
Yes, i know since i bought the same set of 2x AER140 RGB fans and HUE+ controller for my Skylake build as well.

Though, you can use the 2nd HUE+ as well if you want to get 2x extra LED channels for your build. E.g for underglow or behind monitor.

Yeah I might do that at some point but right now not in a hurry. My next major purchase is going to be an ultra wide monitor but I'm not in a hurry to get that yet. But I am planning to pull the trigger on some sleeved cables in the next couple of weeks at which point I will replace the back panel on my case (it is very scratched) and I will take some time to clean and organize the cables in the back as it's a mess.
