hmm, i dont really think that the site admins are gonna go through 100's if not 1000's of comments to relly find a winner and they will just pick a random comment so this is my entry.

Most articles have comments that are highly rated (ie: 20 thumbs up), and yet the highest I see so far in this one is a +1 thumb up comment. Interesting how people rate when it's a competition!

Good luck to all who participate, I know that I would love to play Starc- er Crysis on this machine!

Ok not this is not right! i got to be the only rhode islander to post on toms and i'm always excluded on the contest. why? if anyone one has an answer for me please post it!!!!! that includes you tom! i should be ashamed to have thomas as my middle name!

From the picture, I can clearly see that one of the screws aren't screwed in properly. I think you better send it to me so I can take a look and fix it up and uhhhhh test it :)

apache_lives :
I like chicken.

Sorry, I'm afraid the chicken won't be returning your feelings.

Hey Guys, I know it probably doesnt mean much to you guys at toms but listen to my story please if you will. I have a dog named rusty, rusty is a great dog, he is great at everything that matters, from overclocking his puppy face feature to getting all the newest and most upto date dinner drivers. But not all is good, recently tragedy has befallen my family. You see just last monday rusty got hit by a meteor, effectivly putting him in a vegitative state with no hope of recovery.. well bar one.
This is where you guys come into play, the only way to recover my dog is intergrating him with modern technology. The parts required to regain use of my dog are as follows:
AZZA Hurricane 2000 Gaming Chassis
Intel Core i7-940 2.93 GHz 8M Intel Smart Cache LGA1366
Asetek 570LX Liquid Cooling system w/ 240MM Radiator and Dual Fans
24X Double Layer Dual Format DVD+-R/+-RW + CD-R/RW Drive
INTERNAL 12in1 Flash Media Reader/Writer
1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
Optical USB 3 Buttons Gaming Keyboard and Mouse
6GB (2GBx3) DDR3/1600MHz Triple Channel
GigaByte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58 Chipset
Onboard Gigabit LAN Network
Microsoft(r) Windows(r) 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)
800 Watts - Power Supply
Nividia GTX 460 video card

Ill try to explain, first off the case. This should be a pretty obvious one i mean we dont want to go through this whole rig-a-ma-roll again so grafting the metal plating to the dogs head and joints will significantly increase durabilty. I think all the internal hardware can be easily summed up as being more or less required to run the Windows-7 os on a dog platform with out any hitchs. The psu and liquid cooling will be very helpful when i attempt to intergrate a 'l.a.s.e.r' death ray system into my dogs faceplate.

Ps The rest will be used to teach rusty how to juggle.

And now everyone will be afraid to "thumb up" other peoples posts for the next few days for fear of giving notice to others. I'll be anxious to observe this behavior. :)

This is a very odd machine, i bet i could put a lot better together for less. Case looks decent, probably better out there, PSU is 800 watt??? That thermaltake doesnt seem to be the most reliable. Most you need for 2 460s is 750 and 4 6 pins. The cpu is good if you got it for the same price as the i7 930, but not if otherwise, and with news of sandy bridge coming out soon, that could very easily beat this, and cost a lot less. The HDD is a waste, max thruput of SATA II is like 384 MB/s, and considering a single ssd cant even really reach that, then a HDD cant even touch the half way point, and the F3 would have been faster likely. CHeaper too. Good motherboard, wouldnt change that much, and what is the voltage and CAS Latency on the RAM? Or even company?

My girlfriend and I were having a conversation about what we wanted to name our children. Both of us were raised by California ex-hippies who escaped the scene with their motivation intact, but with enough scars to leave goofy names on their children. You would think that as grownups we would rebel against the idea of doing the same to our children, but both of us also grew up geek so it didn't work out that way. After rejecting names like Jedi, or Obfuscation Jones, we found a name we could both agree on - Awesome Ninja. Our eyes lit up at the same time, and we both inhaled our breath from the joy of knowing - That is the best name EVER! In my mind I could see the birth certificate, the driver's license, the awards and accolades marking their success all made out to Awesome Ninja. And so it was we agreed that our child, male or female, would be Awesome Ninja.

Flash forward to tonight. My girlfriend works in a NICU taking care of sick babies. Often she gives them nicknames while they are under her care. While texting back and forth at lunch I asked if the baby she was taking care of tonight had earned a nickname yet. She said no, that she didn't know what to call her, really.

"Really" I replied," is a pretty good name =)"

A moment later I got a phone call. "Dude!" It was my girlfriend calling. We call each other dude. Probably because we were both born and raised in Southern California. Possibly because our conversational linguistics stopped evolving after 1988. "Check it out! The best baby name ever - Really Awesome Ninja!"

I was stunned. I couldn't speak. The phone dangled in my hand while I stared into the future of Really Awesome Ninja (and hopefully their clan, Really Awesome Ninja jr., the Third, and eventually - Really Awesome Ninja the Final Chapter jr.). In the back of my mind I knew a legacy had begun. Thanks to the twisted imaginations of two nerds and a random text message, the future would never be the same.

But who knows when that future will come. There are no plans for the creation of said Awesome Ninja in baby human form, but looking at that system, I think I could name it Really Awesome Ninja. I'll call it RAN for short, and tell The Girlfriend it's a tribute to Akira Kurosawa. The truth would only hurt her feelings, and I'll be doing enough of that playing Civ V, Fallout: New Vegas, and Rage on that bad boy.

wow very brilliant system I love the shiny case . The CPU is great especially with the liquid cooling will give you a very good opportunity for overclocking.
The power supply is more than enough to add new graphic card . I hop I have a system like this one :)

All right so are they looking for smart and witty or smart @$$ and witty because I can do one but not the other! Cool rig looks kinda like mine except I prefer ATi been thinking about upgrading to liquid cooled but haven made it there yet. This would be great to win but the chances are slim at best. Do you guys realize how many people read Tom's Site to get their info on new products. You just gotta love the weak minded for thinking they have a chance at winning something like this. Hey do me a favor people who have never even signed up on here don't do it because you think you can comment something you think might win do it because your a loyal Tom's reader not because of a contest. You want a comp like this get a good job and build it. Trust me it'll happen a lot sooner than entering contests!
