There's no real point source for the RF. Well, there's the "phase
center" which is mostly used in reference to cantennas and dish feeds.
For a 2.4GHz vertical coaxial antenna, it would be 1/4 wavelength from
the tip or 3.25cm down from the tip. Well, it might be a bit lower
because the rubber covering of the antenna moves the end of the
antenna down slightly. Up or down a few cm isn't goint to make any
difference for a coaxial dipole with a theoretical -3dB vertical
beamwidth of perhaps 120 degrees.
