lmao that's fine. Indians are more racist about Indians than anyone else.
haha yes, the cricket sims! and friends used to offer me "Cricket WC 2002" and what not.
We have the same thoughts about steam, really no point for most of us. Most PC titles are launched for $20 except some big names like Halo 2, BF3 Ltd. Ed. which cost (Halo 2 when it released) about $30. EA India's Origin Store sells stuff at official Indian retail prices...i mean the MSRP-type thing, we call it MRP (max retail price)...but then origin feels...eww.
Prices fall till they're about $4. lol. E-tail stores like
Flipkart sell stuff cheaper. I got ME 2 Ltd. Ed. (Cerberus Network one) for Rs.560 ($11 approx) a month ago. Origin sells it for 700 bucks ($14) i think.
Major exceptions are MW3 which they've decided to sell for $60 (MW2, before getting banned in India (Russia is an ally, i think that was the reason), sold for the usual $20), and the ME 3 pre-order which is for Rs.2000 ($40).
But well we get the shaft when it comes to electronics. Retail prices are 35 to 50% higher than the States, except (strangely) for Intel procs. Even more strangely, hard drive prices haven't risen the way they have in the US, Caviar Black's sell for $40 more only...not that $100+ BS on newegg...
Just to finish my price rant, that Llano A8 flagship sold for around $160 here, with the i3-2100 at about $115.
*sigh*. i have an exam in 6 hours. *must-shut-toms*.
