[SOLVED] Skyrim SE and vram question

Can someone please explain to me how this is true..

• DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 2 GB.

...but yet when i run skyrim se on vanilla with no mods, skyrim performance monitor is showing me vram usage at almost 3k?

I have gtx 980ti, 4900k, 16gb ram, and 500gb ssd with great power supply.

Side note..if anyone knows the best way to monitor real time vram usage id appreciate it.

I do not know what units Skyrim Perf Monitor uses, so couldn't really comment - but being as it is a mod, it could well just be faulting and showing incorrect readings.

I would just use HWInfo and you can monitor GPU Memory usage under the GPU section.
