Hello i have questions before i waste money next years,i like games and video editing in power director.
My questions is worth to buy one more graphic card or use that money to build workstation with 2cpu for editing video and rendering.

In my country rtx2080ti is still overpriced 1200 euro + powersupply 700euro lets say 2000 euro for sli.

I read somewhere that game need to support sli graphic card,so why people put 2,3,4 graphic card if you only use 1 card for gaming.

My pc spec for gaming and editing for now is
i9 7960x 16core
128gb ram 3600mhz
2080ti
x299 ud4 pro

Second questions can you give me spec for 2000 euro for workstation budget if possible 2cpu and max ram for first time 256 but motherboard that support 512gb ram.

Solution
(Possible) answer to first question:
SLI is mostly dead and not used for much anymore. It might still have a use in the server/high-power workstation industry, but that is a total guess and it could be the complete opposite.
SLI was more popular around the days of the 400-1000 series NVIDIA cards (I think, total guess and could be less/more).

There is seriously no point to SLI anymore, if anything use money you might of thought of using to upgrade storage or something more important than a 2080 ti that is already good and will last you awhile.

There isn't going to be support for SLi going forward, and many game developers have abandoned it already. Once the 2080/2080 Ti go on legacy support, it's doubtful that Nvidia will be including SLi support in any further driver revisions.
