Hey!

I've been using XP for a little over a month now. When I originally got it, I went through tweakxp.com to make some speed and appearence changes. Just after I made my changes, my system would boot up in around 1 minute. Now, after probably 20 or so XP automatic updates, it takes almost 2 minutes to boot up! I thought XP was supposed to boot fast! Anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be?

Something is definitely wrong! My system boots in 20-30 seconds under WinXp! What exactly did you change?

I probly did half the tweaks on www.tweakxp.com. It was fine after I did all of that. Everytime the automatic update thing came up, I installed it, without looking at what it was. Any ideas on how I can speed up boot time?

Agh, then it could be a million things that are causing the slow boot up! My advice is to back up all your important stuff and reformat and reinstall Windows.

"dude your getting a dell", is that kid trying to say he wants to stick his 'dell' in you?

Microsoft has a boot accelerator somewhere on their site, go try that.
