Slow video play on youtube

I have an Asus pentium 4 2.1 ghz running the most latest adobe flash player plugin with my aurora firefox browser and most videos play slow and choppy. what can I do to fix this?

How are you connected to internet ?

Get a faster video card or lower the default player setting. You need 2-3 gig of RAM and a decent low end video card at least with that CPU to play online videos unless they are in poor quality.

Thank you for your advice. I have about 1200 gigs of ram, don't know much about my video card, think it's a rage pro something. I do silverlight with netflix pretty well, just a little drag occasionaly. I don't have the money for upgrades. I guess I should be glad for what this com can do, I bought it at a thrift store for 30 bucks.

16 bit color will give you color banding on many videos. You're are better off upgrading the ram and video card. Will cost you maybe $40 for another gig of ram and a low end used video card.
