So my computer is experiencing a strange problem. It is the SM Bus Controller.
Here is some information about my computer:
OS: Windows 7 64bit
CPU: AMD A8-3870 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 3.00 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
I've installed the latest drivers for my GPU and my CPU with no luck in fixing the problem. The drivers for my CPU I got here. The drivers for my GPU I got here. This is the message in System Information:
SM Bus Controller PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_780B&SUBSYS_780B1849&REV_13\3&267A616A&0&A0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
I've been able to look up the vendor and device info here. I wanted to make sure I was actually updating the correct hardware.
I'm at a loss on what to do next other than updating the BIOS. I've found the BIOS here, but I'm not sure if I should go this route. The manufacturer of my CPU is ASRock and the product name is A55M-HVS.
I'm sure I will need to post more information to help resolve this issue. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
