So after getting a JVC LT-40CA790 with freeviewplay built in I would like to not have to use the freesat box and use the tv alone to watch channels. The problem im having is that the freesat box uses two cables from the satellite and the tv only has one input that needs an RF coaxial cable which the cables do not fit into . Is there any way to get the cables from the satellite into an RF coaxial cable?

Solution
You cannot connect satellite dish (what FreeSat looks to be) to your TV. Even if the cables look similar, they carry very different signals. The coax input on your TV is for aerial / antenna only (Rabbit ears, Yaggi, etc). You need that box if you want to continue getting these satellite channels.

Freeview Play uses internet for data and has nothing to do with freesat.
