Pardon me if I'm in the wrong thread, I really don't know which is which but I want some pro-tips from you guys about a PC that I'm about to complete by June. So here are the parts that I'm planning:

Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell Quad-Core 3.4GHz

ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Cooler Master V750 – Compact 750W 80 PLUS Gold PSU with Modular Molex/SATA Cables

MSI R9 280 GAMING 3G 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Rosewill THRONE-G-Window Gunmetal ATX Full Tower Gaming Computer Case, support E-ATX/XL-ATX, support up to 8 Fans

Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S37A/120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Western Digital WD Green WD10EZRX 1TB IntelliPower SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive - OEM

If I counted the keyboard, mouse and monitors that I plan to purchase as well:

BenQ GL2460HM Black 24" 2ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor TN Panel

RAZER BlackWidow Chroma RZ03-01220200-R3U1 USB Wired Gaming RGB Mechanical Keyboard

RAZER DeathAdder Chroma RZ01-01210100-R3U1 Black 1 x Wheel Wired Multi-color Ergonomic Gaming Mouse

Now, I want to ask if the parts I chose are compatible or any advice that you may give that I may change the parts appropriately. Yes, I'm a new comer and in total this would all cost 70,000 Philippine Pesos = roughly 1,600 USD.

I can push it to 75,000PHP as long as it helps me get a better rig.

As for purchase of parts, I know where to get some (Well except the case, if you could give me a better case budgetwise that would be great!)

Thank you for your help in advance.

I'm sorry but no, I just want to know if said parts would work together.

Sorry just wanted to help because i saw tat you have Z87 motherboard which is old version the new one is Z97. So about the build yes all the parts will work together

You also want to know if a different case would be good for the same price,no one can tell without knowing where you buy.

Looks fine to me at first glance, but have remarks,
i would try to get matching color ram with that motherboard considering the window in that case, maybe the snipers from Gskill if possible, but is my personal view.
I would try to get a better ssd, this one seems not to be the best,Kingston seems to have changed the memory chips used in time.Maybe look at the crucial MX100 or similar.
I would get a 7200pm disc as second one,5400rpm seems to be fine for video's.music and such, but if you plan to store games on that disk would i try to get a little faster one.
Turbopici has a point with the Z97 chipset being better for that cpu,but by now has the asus board probably the latest bios on it,when new, which should support that cpu.

Newer gpu's (amd R9 300 series) and cpu's (intel broadwell=>needs Z97 at least) maybe coming in between time so keep an eye on that too since you're planning until june.Maybe a bit soon to start a topic when buying in June anyway.

Thank you for the insight. I'll consider. Since I'm planning to use it as a gaming rig.

Well, if you could give me good case brands and I'll check 'em out. I'm looking around newegg.com at the moment. Is that a good place to get some parts?
