I narrowed it down to 4

Ryzen 5 2600X

Ryzen 7 2700X

Intel I5-9400F

Intel I5-10400F

Gonna do some light gaming (Call of Duty)

I have a XFX THIC II PRO Rx 5500 XT graphics card

Always used AMD but the i5s were in budget

Ryzen 5 2600x is a pretty good option for gaming, 6 cores 12 threads pared with a B450 or B550 board, And it give you an upgrade path later on for the newer Ryzen stuff. The 9400F would out perform the 2600x in most games by a little bit, but its only 6 cores 6 threads, so if you do like streaming or video editing, its going to be slower in that area, and you don't have an upgrade path at all with Intel.
