SOCKET F IMAGES LEAKED

Looks like AMD are joining Intel in the conspiracy to cut down on cpu returns and to hurt the mobo makers.

Good find though. 8)

Do you guys notice the line in the middle?

I believe this is for independent memory controllers for each core.

If they were going for that why would they need a line down the middle?

Yes that's what the switch to Socket F is all about, more pins for seperate memory controllers for each core. It'll also support reg/ecc DDR2, Socket F I do believe is for the Opteron.

Yeah, but that makes it Fry's (or really, ultimately, the mobo manu's) problem, not Intel's or AMD's. So it's no wonder that Intel and AMD are starting to do this. 😱 I bet it's saving them tons of $$$. (And likewise, costing mobo manu's tons of $$$.)
