[citation][nom]randomizer[/nom]The apple is not the symbol for anything. Paintings and cartoons of Adam and Eve might all have apples in them, but at no point is an apple explicitly stated or even implied as being the forbidden fruit eaten by them in Genesis.Maybe cartoons are more canonical than scripture in Russia.[/citation]

Atleast Russia has cartoons. Some countries i know have issued religious killing orders on cartoonists....

religious fanatics or iSheep , which is more brainless?

Its the Apple from Newtons apple, not Eves.

Also wasn't apples first organizer called the Newton? Well enough said.

Some people are so stupid, i guess they have apple mush for brains?

Microsoft put money into that project, so Apple fanatics don't let that go to your head.

[citation][nom]mgilbert[/nom]Religion is just a bunch of silly myths and superstition, much like astrology. There may be a creator/supreme being, but if there is, we know nothing about it. I hope, someday, people quit needing the crutch of religion, and start living with the reality that we do not know and cannot know.[/citation]

how do "you" know that?

These people claim to be orthodox, but they take the secular Sunday school view that Adam and Eve ate an apple... They ate from the fruit of the tree of knowledge according to The Bible. Some orthodoxy they have going on there... perhaps they should look the word up.

the Spanish Inquisition called, they said they will sue they have the monopoly on calling random crap blasphemous. I dislike Apple but I hate religious nuts more.

2[citation][nom]john_4[/nom]FRom reading the anti-faith posts here there will be many here whaling and gnashing their teeth on judgement day, Fools.[/citation]
Well we don't have an awful lot of faith in .... faith. If it were to make sense and not be self-contradictory then ... oh no, I did it again : trying to argue with a religious zealot.

Arguing with a Christian is like playing chess with a pigeon.
You could be the greatest player in the world, but the pigeon will still knock over all the pieces, shit on the board and strut around triumphantly.

[citation][nom]moricon[/nom]HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHScrew apple and religious nutters both HAHAHAHA![/citation]
In fact, religion in Russia at the moment is not what it should be. The church is mired in sin and controls the state with Putin. All intelligent people, or at least those who have the opportunity to leave the state. The church became corrupt and do not brings light. People really do not like it, but discontent suppressed by the state. So it's not as funny as you think.

What does this have to do with technology?

Garbage like this shouldn't even be put up. I have nothing against religion or Apple but this is neither technology related or even remotely relevant. The author should be more inclined to skip over something like this in the interest of publishing something that actually matters to readers.

The overall intelligence/comprehension of Tom's has been on a steady decline and this is no different than then current direction it's been heading in.

I would seriously recommend having a sit down with your writers and maybe discussing what technology is. By the looks of it they may have forgotten.

Be Grateful that this is one of the few recent articles to feature the world's most favorite fruit company not written by Zak Islam 😛

Apple's original logo was of Sir Issac Newton sitting under an apple tree. Fanatics are fanatics, doesn't matter if they are the religious type or some other type, they always find a way to relate something to what they are fanatical about.

Now if they had come with this argument whenever Apple started to use that logo one could understand their reasoning. But these guys are way past the point where they begin to look just like some out of touch religious fanatics.
And trust me, I am quite open minded when it comes to Apple bashing 🙂

This isn't the first time this has been brought up actually. It's been said many times over the years.
In-fact oddly enough back when Apple use to promote using the logo on websites made with a Mac the Church of Satan did such and got a cease and desist from Apple and the CoS even wondered and pointed out at the logo as they took the logo as if it was a symbol of original sin themselves.

Regardless of religious beliefs one may have however I think it is going a bit far to wanting companies to cater to the feelings of everybody. One's personal religion should never effect a person who does not follow it and a company for obvious reasons is void of religion.

I also want to point out companies being censored because of religious themed laws is nothing new either. IKEA took out all women in their product pictures for their magazine for the Saudi Arabia's version. Also Starbucks removed the mermaid logo because it's a female in Saudi Arabia in their shops over there. This is how absurd laws can be when we let religions dictate to others.

I laughed when I read the title and thought how can they find it offensive but now I see they have a point about how offensive it is and I say good; religious people should be offended all the time.
