Can you slipstream SP2 w/ SP1a? I've tried using both the TMG article instructions and using AutoStreamer. Following the TMG instructions gave an error that my current XP already has upgrades and cannot by integrated. The AutoStreamer goes all the way through the process but the resultant disk does not contain any SP2 changes. It's just a duplicate of the SP1a disk.

You can just ignore the SP1a if you have the SP2. So, just slipstream SP2 will do. Here's the guide

P4 1.7Ghz @ 2GHz, 512MB PC800 RDRAM, 64MB Abit Ti4200, 60GB Maxtor, 120GB Western Digital, 48x24x42 TDK CDRW, 16X ASUS DVDROM, SB! live 5.1DE, Lifeview 3000 TV card

I have to deal w/ SP1a as the XP disk that came with my system already has SP1a installed. So I either have to get SP2 to slipstream w/ SP1a or uninstall SP1a (if either is even possible.)

I used a copy of Windows that included SP1a to make a slipstream SP2 CD... so yes, it can be done.

If you design software that is fool-proof, only a fool will want to use it.

When I try I get the error "This Service Pack cannot be integrated into a destination that also has integrated Sofware Updates."

Did you use the slipstream directions on TMG or some other method? I'm using a Dell OEM XP disk vs one direct from Microsoft. I wonder if that matters?

That might be a problem. According to TackTech, some files in Dell's CD are different from standard OEM discs from Microsoft. I think that's why you got the error message.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
