Screeching sound on my speaker when I plug the power to PC, but works fine on my Phone Charger.
Clearly something wrong with my PC grounding.

My External HDD doesn't even work on the USB 3.0 port (Case and Mobo), only in USB 2.0

A screech with respect to speakers is usually a feedback loop.

However, if an external HDD USB drive is not working on your computer's USB port and if the audio goes astray when a USB port is used then your computer may not be able to provide enough power for all of the USB devices connected directly to the computer.

Do you have access to a separately powered USB hub?

If so, try plugging the hub into one USB port on your PC and then plug the USB devices into the USB hub.

So do I need a greater PSU?
I have Ryzen3 1200 and GTX 1660 6GB

Also, HDD only works on USB 2.0, USB 3.1 didn't work
