Question Soundbar to pc

Afternoon,

I recently bought a soundbar which only has a optical cable input & bluetooth. Just wondering if something like this would work or would i need to buy a soundcard?

You are backwards.

That converts digital to analog.

You want to convert analog (from your computer) to digital (to the soundbar)
