Soundcard Software Problems

Sound Blaster Audigy FX has given me nothing but aggrevation since I installed it.Running Windows 10 1703 and now 1709. Perfect sound one day and nothing the next. Has anyone solved this problem because I'm ready to give up and buy a card from another manufacturer. P.S. I'll bet you can't think of anything I haven't tried.

why do you need a sound card? if its for headphones maybe you should try an external dac instead.

Thanks for the quick reply. My computer is my stereo. Has been since XP. I'm not a gamer. a sound card sounds better than onboard. Any thoughts?
