How far did you play? Level 10? It doesn't get varied until about
level 25.

Not true. The quests from 1-5 are more or less similar but even then you
had some real unusual ones, like the Orc one where you have to run around
and beat the workers that are sleeping on the job. That one had me rolling
on the floor.

Do the other games listed have quests like "Fully explore Area_01" or
"Find NPC_01 and cast Spell_02 and Spell_03 on him"? That's just two
non-"standard" quests I've done.

Also, it's a MMORPG: Until someone makes a game that isn't about
whacking rats for teh levels, and make it a tad more interesting than
A Tale in the Desert, that's what the games are going to give you. So
it comes down to competitive advantage, and WoW's is an excellent
interface and beautiful graphics.

My highest is L20, but I can read Allas with the best of them. :)

Notice I said "no more or less interesting". Fully explore and Find are
just small variations on Fedex type quests in my mind. The crafter quests
in WoW are on par with doing the Crafter quests in Horizons.

*shrug* I'm personally not finding WoW to be all that compelling. Sure,
it's fun in it's way, but so is CoH when I want mindlessness. I'm
personally waiting to see what Vanguard is going to be like.

Hmm, what I find really irritating about both CoH and WoW is that the game
mechancis of both put a play at a big disadvantage if you don't play in
3rd person view. I'm never in 3rd person in EQ1 and that small point I think
makes the sense of immersion far far greater.

Judging by dev comments it's going to be a reimplementation of old EQ1
- you will be able to sit and meditate and wait in queue for raids
while looking at beautiful instead of blocky graphics.
