Question SSD disappearing when plugging new hdd

Im trying to have a dual storage setup ssd + hdd but my SSD that contains my windows OS disappears whenever I plug another drive(hdd). So far I've tried plugging in 3 different hard drives and I still get the same results. On boot it displays "Error: no boot disk detected" etc etc. And when I go to my BIOS, the hdd that I just plugged in is the only drive that's visible on priority tab. However my SSD shows up on the miscellaneous tab on the bios, it says what port it's plugged in and other details as well as my hdd. I dont think it's a problem on ports/cables because my pc works completely normal when I unplug the hdd. I've tried plugging the hdd on all ports available on my motherboard as well as my ssd. My motherboard is Acer veriton s6620g (its kinda old). I've also tried going to my motherboard's manual, no luck.

Hmm, what is the capacity of your hdd that didn't appear?

Its a brand new WD Blue 1tb. I've used a Seagate barracuda 1tb in the past on this same exact computer and it worked fine but it was almost a year ago

And also my hdd appears, it's the ssd that disappears when I plug in my hdd. The ssd is just a Samsung 120gb. Just to clarify

I dont think my bios has that section but I've sent two images via imgur on my previous reply one of them contains similar, its the hard drive boot device priority
