Question ssd drive for asus h110m-e/m.2

Sorry if any of these questions sound obvious but i am not much of a hardware guy. I currently have a good ssd in my only m.2 slot but my sata hdd is now dead. I am looking to replace it with a ssd. I have an asus h110m-e/m.2 motherboard, what is a good ssd, can i put a m.2 ssd into a sata slot or can I use an expansion slot to make another m.2 slot. Kinda lost so ty for any advice.

Just get a 2.5" SATA III SSD.

Crucial MX500 or Samsung 860 EVO.

Direct plug in replacement for your HDD.

Don't get all wrapped up with wanting another M.2 drive, in a system that does not have a native port for it.
