Question SSD no longer being detected.

Recently upgraded the storage on my pc with a new SSD (Samsung 860 EVO) and HDD (Toshiba x300). The SSD arrived so I put it in and got everything working fine. HDD arrived two days later. I hooked it up but it wasn't showing up, so I restarted my computer. When it rebooted the HDD was showing up but the new SSD was nowhere to be found. Seems like they basically traded places.

This happened to me at like 9:00 yesterday! First it gave me this “srttrail.txt” I had no idea at the time how to fix it, so I just reinstalled windows on the 860 evo (because I had nothing important on it.) Boom got windows installed again, everything was going fine until I had to do a quick restart. I turned the computer back on, in 2 mins windows was not responding to clicks or anything, then is BSOD me again. But this time the drive was not showing in BIOS which makes no sense it was working a minute ago and now it gives me a boot error telling me to put in a bootable drive.

are the ssd m.2 or 2.5" type?

try different sata port/power cable?

They’re m.2. And I have tried my other SATA cables and the power cable that was in the working HDD.

m.2 sata would disabled some sata port. read the manual to see which one to use for the hdd
