I have this SSD (Samsung 870 EVO) for a couple of years. Suddenly last night it stopped working. In the Bios it doesn't show up.
I have the Asus Gryphon Z87. In the SATA Configuration, it shows up as Empty. If I boot to Windows I can see the drive and it's drive letter, but cannot open it.
So, now having this SSD plugged in makes Windows run slow. In the device manager I can see the SSD drive. If I try to open disk management it doesn't load and stays like that forever. If I unplug the SSD then everything starts to run smoothly and fast. Any idea what I can do? I have some documents in that SSD that I would like to recover.
Update:
Install a program called Intel Rapid Storage Technology.
It shows the SSD that is causing issues.
Port 1
Status: Normal
Type: SATA solid-state drive
Usage: Available
