I have a quick question about a new SSD drive i have ordered. I plan to use it in my makshift server, an old 2015 business PC. It uses a lot of pagefile, the servers take huge amounts of ram. It has 16 GB of ram. After 3 server boot its using 25 GB of RAM and allocated 31 GB. So its basicly useing 16GB of page file. My concern is will the page file usage burn the ssd out? They only have so many writes before they ware out.

Solution
If you can't install more than 16 gb of RAM, what choice do you have other than to rely on the page file?

SSDs are a tool. If the tool fails, you replace the tool.

"Scores" and "remaining life" numbers are virtually useless.

Chances of failure due to page file "burn out" are extremely small.

If the SSD fails, you'd likely never know why regardless.

I'd be much more worried about failures elsewhere.......motherboards, RAM, monitors,
SSD endurance is no longer an issue for desktop users.
What make/model/ size ssd will you be using?
Larger ssd devices will have more nand blocks and endurance.

The page file normally should not get a lot of hits.
One per second would be very high.
If it does, you do not have sufficient ram in the first place.

I think you have no worries on the endurance score.

Its wd 3d nand 1TB. It is very short on ram. However it is maxed out. It can only hold 16GB of ram. At this point in time i dont have the funds to make what i need so im making what I have work. But i dont want the endurance score to drop because of page file usage. I will post a picture of how much it uses.
