Guys i am using Win Vista Ultimate 32bit.

The problem is that i am not able to save my start menu order settings. If i set the programs as i like, after a second they return back to their weird order. I've Googled about it and failed to find anything useful.

Changing the settings doesn't seem to work either. If i check the personalize order box, the 'apply' button stays greyed, even after repeatedly checking and unchecking it. But well i dont need to click personalize start menu because it automates the order. But that was for troubleshooting reasons.

I like to have my own ordering of programs.

Any fix?

no one elses has any ideas so here is at least a option

Do you have any program like ccleaner or iobit's advanced system to run automatically?

any type of program that "cleans" unwanted files can reset these types of settings


or even better, take out the trash and go with windows 7 ult
