When it comes to technology and especially PCs I wouldn't say never. boosting the power of integrated graphics will happen and will be a big boost for PC gaming. It certainly won't hurt the PC gaming industries revenue. For one the people making integrated graphics are the same ones making discreet. Secondly increased game sales will more than make up for any other loses. Look at the console market, they bring in way more money in spite of their hardware, not because of it. Imagine how many more copies Crysis would have sold for every $100 less of hardware required to run it?Integrated hardware can never match discreet cards. If they do, there's no reason to upgrade. Scratch one source of revenue for game makers, the spiffs they get for pushing things and driving people to upgrade.
