Stuttering sound and screen

Everytime i play a game like For Honor or PUBG i get sound stuttering and sort of stuttering in my fps but it says my fps is stable at like 30
When i close google chrome (i always have like 20 tabs open) it helps a bit but after 5 mins it gets worse again
I tried low settings didnt help, redownloading driver didnt help,
I use an external hard drive thats pretty old because one of my partitions doesnt work anymore and the other one is full max i can get is 20 gb so i cant try if its really the hard drive.

Specs: intel core i7-4710HQ
16gb ram
Nvidia GTX 860M
Windows 8

is your cpu overheating? If you constantly have 20 or so tabs open, and when you close them it helps a bit that could be the issue, try running a game and let us know what temps your cpu is reaching.

My cpu reaches around 96°C and my gpu 85°C but i see the loading status of my gpu gets around 99%

96 Degrees C is extremely hot, you should be at 70C MAX, there could be something wrong with your CPU cooler, along with you may need to re-add thermal paste. I don't know if this is entirely causing your issues, but it could be a large part of it.

I am now using something i still had that cools my pc it doesnt really help tho only on the outside so i'll buy some thermal paste and look if something is wrong with the cooler, thanks
