Suffix of your choosing gives you 2 custom urls on youtube, or no?

I am eligible for a custom URL on youtube, but what does "and a suffix of your choosing" mean when i am about to claim my username? When i click on it, it gives me an option to put/add something behind my custom youtube name, so does that mean if i'll put i.e an 's' so it becomes "seawanderers" instead of "seawanderer", that my custom url will be youtube.com/seawanderers only or will people who write /seawanderers and /seawanderer be directed to my channel?

Yes thats how it works as I understand it. One is you (Seawanderer) and the other will be your channel name (SeawanderAnythingYouWantHere) Think of it as the name of your store.
