I understand that. The point is you are posting a benchmark of an game that is easier to play at a very low resolution which is obviously favorable for the i7 3770k. Yet the other benchmarks for the harder to play games at higher settings show there is a tiny difference in FPS between it and the i7 3820 (around 1-3). The lack of a Crysis Warhead benchmark @ 1920x1200p and any BF3 benchmark makes me wonder if Anandtech is only showing favorable benchmarks to the i7 3770k.
Considering the i7 3820 will be cheaper than the 3770k and it benefits from having more native pcie 3.0 lanes I would say the i7 3820 is a better deal. The X58 platform is still going strong because of the extra pcie lanes. many gamers did not upgrade to sandy bridge because they knew that it would not handle their high end gpu setups. I see the same thing happening with X79 and Ivy bridge.

Agreed but seeing how that 3770K will most likely stomp the 3820 when both are over clocked I still have hope.
