Hi everyone,

As the title suggests I am in need of some builds for a AMD Gaming Build. I have been using an Intel build but seemingly lots of people I know recommend switching up and trying a AMD Build!!

My Budget is £1000

I already have ample SSD Storage
I have all the peripherals

My games I currently play are Overwatch, Genshin Impact, Ark Survival Ascended, ect (Small Indie Games)

I am a also a (Very Small, part time) Streamer so build would be great to go with that.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Many Thanks

Hey again. I have everything here or on the way except RAM!!

It looks good to my newbie eye but what do you guys think?? Worth the grab now? Its all compatible with the mother board I got which was the Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX ATX AM5 Motherboard
Yes, should be fine!
Thanks for the feedback on the case and also yea I should have been more clear but basically what Helper said, cheaper than the 7700XT but more than 3060 on money and maybe a little on performance just in case i stretch a bit. either way I am happy with the option of 3060 as I can always upgrade down the line but for now it would be a card capable to deliver for the games I play for sure.

I should state I have purchased and today received the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
Nice! I hope the build goes well, and if you have any questions, just post back here.

BETWEEN the 7700 XT and 3060?
Not really. Actually, the 4060 is SLIGHTLY better than the 3060. But on the AMD side of things there is nothing really yet, not from the current Gen anyhow, that is below the 7700 XT but not below the 4060.

The 6700 xt and the 6750 xt of last generation are reasonably faster than the 3060. Also the 3060 ti is about just about as fast as a 6750 xt for around the same price. The 6700 xt can be had for about 310, the 3060 ti can be had for about 320, and the 6750 xt can be had for about 350. The 4060 ti is significantly faster than the 3060 and can be found for about 370. The next meaningful step up would be the 7700 XT which is significantly faster than the 4060 ti but for 415 as we know.

IMO if I were getting a new card it would be the 3060 ti or the 6700 XT with your price preference. The 3060 ti is about 25-30% faster than the 3060 for about a 28% increase in price

Okay thanks for the answers.
I'm stuck deciding between the 4060 GPU tht DarkBreeze suggested with partpicker or going for the 3060 Ti that Helper suggested.

does the branding make a difference on GPUs?? seems like dumb question but i searched for the 3060 Ti and there are many versions of it same GPU, same GB ect but with a different brand name like Asus or MSI ect!!

The 3060 ti has more memory bandwidth but the 4060 makes better use of the bandwidth that it has. The result is that they perform on average similar to each other. The 4060 is more energy efficient but the 3060 ti has more consistent fps across the board where the 4060 has higher highs and lower lows. You cannot really go wrong with either of them.

Another question I have is the G. Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory is only located in US for me. I'm UK and was hoping any of you would know if I could get something as good but locally country wise?

And with the GPU does brand matter??
Like could I go for a MSI version or Asus version or does it need to be a Zotac one?

I would just get whatever card is the cheapest as long as it has at least two fans. The specific board maker does not really matter for performance much, but can affect cooling to some degree. Let me link you some RAM and a specific GPU. 6700 XT, 6750 XT, 3060, 3060 ti, 4060, 4060 ti, DDR5 RAM.

What do you mean? The original link I gave you for it, and here as well, IS in the UK. Totally available.

Personally, I would avoid ANY "Vengeance" memory kit unless you can find demonstrable evidence of it being successfully used, without issue, on the same motherboard with the same CPU, and even then I personally would likely avoid it because Corsair FREQUENTLY changes the composition of Vengeance sticks while keeping the same model number. Substituting ICs (Memory chips), changing rank or row configurations, etc., based on what they have most available on hand that will still give them the required capacity and clock frequency. That means, just because kit "X" works on a specific board for one person, you could get the exact same Vengeance kit and end up with completely different memory that does NOT work on that board or has issues due to the changed composition of the stick.

It should be an industry wide mandate that if the composition of a stick is changed after initial testing by the motherboard manufacturer or the memory manufacturer, they should have to give it some kind of change to the model as well, but they don't, so some companies do this regularly based on if they can get X brand of ICs or other individual components in a cheaper lot this week than what they used for the same kit last week. The better companies and product lines tend to not do this. Corsair does not do this, from what I have seen, on any of their higher end product lines like Dominator platinum. Mainly they do this on the Vengeance kits, ESPECIALLY the LPX kits since that is their cheapest product line.
