Hi,

I recently got fibre optic broadband and for the first week or so it was great ! i was getting speeds of 20mb+ but all of a sudden it has dropped down to around 4 mbs and on wireless i get constantly DC'd . Im using a TPlink homeplug so i have a wired connection . my girlfriend on her laptop still gets realy fast speeds using the plugs and the other PC downstairs still gets good speeds aswell, but i dont . I work in computer hardware so i know my way around a computer but this is baffeling me , i can only think that there may be a problem with the ethernet port on my motherboard.

All my drivers are upto date. so if any one has any sugestions they would be most welcome .

im new to toms hardware so if i posted this in the wrong forum im sorry

yea i thought that may have been a problem initialy so i put a new one in , but that didn't make a difference

"TPlink homeplug" is very sensitive to electrical noise. You need to isolate and test each part of your network to find the problem.

The first and easiest step is to plug directly into your modem and see if you still have issues.
