Supreme commander issues

Hello,
I just bought supreme commander and installed it with no problems, but when i try to play it it says that the wrong disk is inserted and to insert disk one. And when i tried to get updates for it it caused my os to crash and i got the blue screen of death. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this problem. my OS is Win 7

Are you talking Sup Com 1 or 2?
Do you have Forged Alliance installed?

The GPG.net program needs to be fully up-to-date. This checking for updates takes a long time - I've no idea why. Make sure you're using the latest version

I have the original supreme commander i've installed the patch list in the link but now its telling me i need to insert the disk when the disk is already in mt optical drive any ideas as to what may be causing this problem

The one of the later patches let's you play without the CD. Are you sure you're fully-up-to-date?

Try running GPG .net as an Administrator and see if it is downloading any more updates.
