I have just bought a corsair cx550w for my PC and all is fine apart from the plug is too short. Would it be safe to swap this out for another adapter from my old PC - an older dell PSU from a prebuilt - which is longer? The wattage level both state 250v on the plug so I thought it would be okay, but given the nature of psu cables internally and what happens if you swap them I thought I'd better ask here.
