Question Swapping I7 Ultra 265k for i9 Ultra 285k. Do I need to do clean install of windows?

I am simply upgrading my CPU from a 265K to a 285K. Everything else is the same. Do I need to do a clean install of windows?

Also, I know I will probably get an alert from the BIOs telling me something about the CPU being removed. Should I select "Y" or "N" for the question it asks? I can't remember the exact wording it asks, but its something technical about the CPU and I never know whether to answer yes or no.

If I do need to do a clean install of windows, is there a way to keep all my games on my hardrives without doing a complete reformat and starting over?

No you don't. The only time you need to reinstall the OS is when you're swapping motherboards(regardless of chipsets). Just make sure you're on the latest BIOS version for your motherboard prior to any hardware upgrades.
